Introducing...

...my new favorite toy! I call her My Precious.

I have a lot to learn and I'm so excited! I litrally can't wait to
dive into the instruction manual and read it from cover to cover,
highlighter in hand, taking copious notes.

And the classes! With our purchase we got 18 vouchers for photography
classes at Wolf. Woo hoo!

And yes, I took this picture in the car. We're on our way to Marshall
and I just couldn't wait to share my exicetment with all my bloggy
friends!

Oh! I am soooo jealous!!! I can't wait to see it in action...and maybe if I ask nice enough you will let me get my hands on "my precious" to try it out, too! Also...do I see B-boy facing forward in his carseat like a big boy??

I found my way over via Haley's blog.

Cool! Welcome to the world of photography. Is that a D60? Nikon is a great choice! I have the D40 and love it, though I'm really tempted to "upgrade" just a "little" to the D700. :)

Two pieces of advice as you begin your journey:

1.) Read "Understanding Exposure". It's a fantastic book about understanding how to control the camera in various lighting situations. It will help you get out of "auto" mode and on to more creative shooting. :) It may be the only photography book you ever need.

2.) Hop on Flickr. It's a great community of people that will help you become better at photography (if you ask for critique) and generally quite a great place for inspiration. If you join, look me up.
