I recently had a chance to host a baby shower with some of my favorite party-planning friends. Between the six of us we've thrown close to fifteen parties and showers together. We are quite the team.
We had such a fun time celebrating my sweet, lifelong friend Laura and helping her prepare to welcome her baby boy. God smiled on us with a gorgeous, sunny spring day so we were able to set up outside under the trees.
In place of a traditional baby shower cake we had Laura's favorite cupcakes from Sprinkles. They were delightful!

The shower decor reflected a loose animal/jungle/zoo theme with a few wild animals here and there.
In avoidance of the traditional baby food tasting we took inspiration from Jay Leno and had teams create baby faces from pictures of Laura and Bryce. Here Laura displays the creepiest and cutest results.
I've attended quite a few baby showers in the past three or four years and I've NEVER seen anyone rake in the goods like Laura did. The Dockers are pretty well set for baby boy's arrival! Well, after they haul all of this stuff home, sort it out and find room for everything.
Beyond all the spoons and bottles, cute outfits and soft blankets, this sweet baby is truly rich in what really matters. He is already SO LOVED! We can't wait to meet you baby boy!
