Just For Giggles

I'm entering this photo in a contest this week. I decided to go for it mainly because I love to look at this photography site but also because this week's theme is silhouettes and I happen to have a favorite silhouette picture. I love this one because it captures such a fun, carefree moment between little boy and his daddy.

And because it still makes my stomach drop a little to see how much air Bennett was getting. At the time I was too busy trying to get a picture to let my protective mommy instincts rule. Is that bad?

There are sure to be lots of awesome silhouette photos this week, so check them out!

I will be shocked if you don't win that competition, Stacey! It's an incredible picture!

You are so sweet, Tricia. But there are LOTS of awesome pictures entered. And apparently the whole throw-the-baby-in-the-air shot wasn't the most original idea. :) I still love the photo anyway.

Love the photo - it truly captures that invisible yet unshakeable bond between a father and son. Priceless, really. I know what you mean about the protective mommy instincts. My hubby was doing the same thing with our son in a pool and as I was screaming at the sidelines for him to stop the entire crowd (I guess they were really enjoying the "show")started looking at me like I was a freak.

I love it, Stacey! Jeff is quite the powerhouse too! I love this new blog and plan to add it to my Google Reader.
I thumbed through the couple of pics from last night and had a silhouette amongst the bunch, so I gave it a shot too. This is fun! <3

this is one of my favorites in the child toss sub-category this week. the backdrop is equally amazing as the height of the throw!
